Did you have a delayed or cancelled work flight?

When you take a flight and it's disrupted, you're often able to claim money from the airline to compensate you for your lost time and inconvenience.

For example, if you were flying in the EU, you are eligible to claim flight compensation if:

• Your flight was delayed for 3 hours or more.

• OR, your flight was cancelled less than 14 days before it was due to depart.

• OR, you were denied boarding due to overbooking.

• AND, the reason for the flight disruption was within the airline's control.

Refund: the money you (or your employer) get back for a flight ticket you can't use — for example if the flight was cancelled.

Compensation: the money awarded to you, the passenger, when your flight's delayed or cancelled at short notice.

It doesn't matter who booked or paid.

If your work flight's delayed for more than 3 hours or cancelled less than 14 days before departure, you get the compensation.

It's as simple as your inconvenience = your compensation.

That doesn't matter. A refund is different from compensation.
